• Henderson SRI publishes Statement for the European SRI Transparency Code
  In line with out commitment to openness and transparency, the SRI team has published its latest Statement of Commitment for the 2009 period, and attained authorisation to use the logo.

JUNE

• Henderson sponsors event and publication celebrating 10 yrs ESG disclosure by UK pension funds
  Henderson Global Investors was one of a number of sponsors of the 'Focus on the Future' report celebrating 10 years of ESG disclosure by UK occupational pensions funds.  The report was launched at an event at the House of Commons.

• Henderson endorses the Forest Footprint Disclosure request letter to companies
  Henderson has signed up to endorse the disclosure request letter sent to companies asking for information on its activities and supply chain contribution to deforestation. Currently 38 institutional investors, with more than US$4T collective assets under management have endorsed the letter

• SRI team supports renewed call for action on ESG disclosure in emerging markets
  The Emerging Markets Disclosure Project (EMDP) is an international initiative to improve sustainability disclosure in emerging markets.  The Henderson SRI team has been a supporter of this initiative since the start in 2008, and has renewed its commitment by our continued inclusion in the 2010 investor statement.  Read the latest statement.

• SRI team sponsors solar industry research
  Research has been published, sponsored by the Henderson SRI team, which explores the impacts of solar panel manufacturing.  The research, published by the Silicon Valley Toxic Coalition (SVTC) surveyed over 200 solar companies on their current manufacturing practices and corporate social responsibility.  Read the Henderson SRI investor briefing paper. Access the 'Solar Scorecard' research report.
• SRI team publishes annual SRI review for the Industries of the Future fund OEIC
  The 2009 SRI annual review details activities and performance of the fund, as well as provides an outlook for 2010.

• SRI Advisory Committee publishes 2009 annual commentary
  The Henderson independent SRI Advisory Committee has published its latest annual statement, covering its activities and interactions with the SRI team during 2009
• Investor statement on climate change policy, post Copenhagen
  Institutional investors around the world, including those part of the IIGCC of which Henderson Global Investors is a member, have issued a statement on climate change policy, following the end of the Copehagen conference in December 2009.  Read the Statement here.
