A world of opportunity – it's happening at Henderson
Ethical funds, green funds, social funds, socially responsible investment funds. Call it what you will. At Henderson, we use the term Sustainable & Responsible Investment (SRI) to describe our approach to investing which takes explicit account of environmental, social & governance (ESG) issues in the investment process.
Henderson is one of the world’s leading providers of SRI funds with over 30 years experience. We currently manage approximately GBP 726.4 million (as of 31st December 2009) in SRI assets, across a range of pooled (including the Global Care range of funds) and segregated funds for clients including pension funds, local authorities, charities and individuals.
Our unique SRI investment process allows us to achieve long term financial value for our clients by:
-
Identifying new investment opportunities driven by global sustainability challenges
-
Empowering investors to make choices about how, and where to invest
-
Responding effectively to our investors’ values
-
Uncovering environmental, social & governance (ESG) business risks and opportunities not revealed through traditional financial analysis
-
Contributing to the creation of an environmentally sustainable, and socially responsibly economy and society
What's new?
Corporate governance & responsible investment
For information about Henderson's position on Corporate Governance, as well as how we incorporate sustainability and corporate responsibility into our investment activities for the non-SRI funds please

Corporate responsibility at Henderson
As well as integrating ESG issues into its investment activities, Henderson addresses such issues within its own operations. To read more about how we do this, please see the ‘Corporate responsibility’ section of our latest Annual Report.
