About Us

George heads up the Henderson SRI team. He oversees the pan-European SRI portfolios. He is manager of the Henderson Global Care Managed Fund and the Henderson Global Care UK Income Fund, along with one of our segregated SRI funds.

George has responsibility for directing Henderson's 'Integrated SRI' investment process, managing the integration of ethical, sustainability and responsibility factors into a single investment process, tailored to suit clients needs.

With a BA (Hons) in Geography from Oxford university, George was commissioned from Sandhurst into the army. He served as an infantry officer in Germany, Bosnia, Canada and Northern Ireland before leaving the army to join Threadneedle Asset Management in 1996. At Threadneedle George worked as a fund manager on the pan-European equities team, where he also developed a framework for fund managers and analysts to ESG factors into account when making investment decisions. George joined the Henderson SRI team in 2001. He is as Associate of the Institute of Investment Management and Research and holds qualifications from the UK Society of Investment Professionals.

Tim manages the Henderson range of global SRI funds, including the Global Care Growth and Henderson Industries of the Future funds, along with one of our segregated SRI funds.

He has particular responsibility for directing Henderson's multi-thematic ‘Industry of the Future’ investment process for these funds and the Industry of the Future portions of Henderson's other pooled and segregated SRI accounts.

Tim has over 16 years experience investing in equities with various teams. Tim also has experience as a sector analyst and was a Reuters rated UK larger company analyst for three years.

With a BA (Hons) in Mathematics and Computers from Oxford, Tim joined Hendersons in 1998 from AMP when Hendersons was taken over by AMP.  He is also a leader of his local church in Barnet. He holds qualifications from the UK Society of Investment Professionals.

Claudia works closely with Tim and Alice on the Industry of the Future funds.

She seeks out investment opportunities driven by sustainability challenges, focusing on theme development and company financial analysis across the portfolios.

Before joining Henderson, Claudia was the team leader for the Pharmaceutical & Household and Personal Care sectors at a leading SRI research house. She has a first class degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master in Business Administration. Claudia worked for Praxair and Bestfood in Argentina, where she implemented quality and environmental management systems and also worked in business and client development. She has achieved the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).

Alice works closely with Tim and Claudia on the range of Global Funds.

Her main responsibilities include generating investment ideas, researching opportunities and making investment recommendations with a particular focus on the Health theme.

Alice joined Henderson in 2005 and was previously responsible for the analysis of pan-European healthcare sector. Prior to joining Henderson Alice worked for 3 years as an Assistant Portfolio Manager at JP Morgan Fleming covering European equities. Alice gained an MSci (Hons) in Physics from the University of Bristol in 2000 and has achieved the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification.

Seb joined Henderson in 2008, as Head of SRI research. He leads on the identification and analysis of critical sustainability and responsibility issues with investment relevance for the SRI funds. In addition, Seb guides and oversees the research team’s communication and engagement with companies, the investment community, government and civil society to enhance and promote understanding of sustainability, corporate responsibility and SRI matters. He joined from SustainAbility where he was vice president, research and advocacy. In this role Seb was responsible for the overall direction and content of research and advocacy activities and spent nine years based in both London and New York. Seb has expertise in helping businesses develop strategic responses and practical solutions to social and environmental issues and has a background in environmental technology and environmental science. He is a Chartered Environmentalist, has an MSc DIC from Imperial College in Environmental Technology and an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science from the University of East Anglia.  Seb attained the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) in May 2008.

My-Linh works closely with Seb and Hyewon in developing and implementing the SRI research & engagement process at Henderson.

She is responsible for sustainability and corporate responsibility analysis engagement for the SRI funds. My-Linh is currently a member of Reuters’ Corporate Responsibility Advisory Committee, and the Environmental, Health & Safety stakeholder panel at GlaxoSmithKline.  Other committee memberships include being a non-executive board director of UKSIF, and a member of the UKSIF Research & Analyst Services Advisory Group.   

She joined the SRI team in 2000 having completed an MProf. Leadership for Sustainable Development. Her first Masters was in Environmental Impact Assessment, Auditing & Environmental Management Systems. My-Linh also has a BSc (Hons) degree in Environmental Science. She has attained her Investment Management Certificate (IMC).

Hyewon works closely with Seb and My-Linh within the SRI research team. Her analyst role involves conducting sustainability and corporate responsibility analysis for the purposes of SRI investment. She also provides investment support for the team. Prior to joining Henderson in 2007, Hyewon worked in a similar SRI analyst role at Jupiter Asset Management. Before that, she interned at the UK Social Investment Forum (UKSIF), and Business in the Community.

Hyewon holds an MSc in Nature, Society and Environmental Policy from Oxford University, as well as a B.A. in Russian Studies and English Studies from Korea. She attained the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) in May 2008.
