    Why technology?

The influence of technology in our lives is undeniable.

In our daily life, we are connected socially, electronically and digitally, using devices such as the mobile phone, computers, social networking sites, credit cards and many more. Conventional business models are also being challenged with advances in Internet capabilities, increase in computing powers and a broadening of digital connectivity.

Moore's Law has been central in driving these advances. Over the past decade, the technology sector has transformed itself into a sector with efficient companies that can boast strong recurrent revenues and solid finances. We believe that now is the time for investors to rediscover a sector that by its nature gives access to the future.

The technology sector offers an opportunity to participate in the ongoing global recovery as consumer and corporate spending returns, whilst relatively healthy balance sheets and flexible cost structures within the sector offer some defence, should economic trends deteriorate.

We are of the view that markets have not yet reflected the strong profitability of many technology companies, thus there are ample opportunities for investors who can identify today the winners of tomorrow.
