Roger is a Founder Member and Managing Partner of HAPEP. He also established and developed HEP’s private equity business since inception in 1998.

Roger is Chairman of the HAPEP Investment Committee. He has over 20 years of finance experience. Roger has invested in a number of markets and sectors. In the Indian market, Roger has established joint ventures for investing in private equity and infrastructure, and has invested directly in the Indian market, having overseen and approved all investments made by HAPEP in India.

Prior to leading HEP, Roger was Chief Executive of AMP Asset Management (NZ) Limited in New Zealand, and has also held positions as an economist at the New Zealand Treasury and at the New Zealand Reserve Bank.

Roger holds a Master of Commerce in Economics from the University of Auckland and a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics from Massey University.

Vishal is a Founder Member and Senior Partner of HAPEP, where he has successfully developed its franchise in Asia, and particularly India, over the past ten years. In addition to overseeing HAPEP’s operations, Vishal is responsible for and leads the investment team in making investments in India.

Vishal has over 20 years of private equity and investment banking experience having previously led HSBC's South Asia private equity operations and the Indian operations of Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette, as well as having worked for ANZ Bank for 10 years in both India and Australia.

Vishal is a Chartered Accountant, holds an Honours degree in Commerce from the University of Delhi and is an alumnus of Modern School in New Delhi.

Rahul is a Founder Member and Principal of HAPEP’s business in India, where he has been instrumental in developing its franchise in Asia, and particularly India, over the past ten years. Rahul is responsible for direct investments, from deal origination through to exit.

Rahul has over 13 years of experience, including management consulting roles with Ion Global in its Sydney office prior to joining HAPEP.

Rahul is a CFA charterholder and holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Economics from the University of Calcutta and is an alumnus of Doon School.

Ming primarily has responsibility for investments in North Asia, particularly Greater China. He was previously a member of the Goldman Sachs private equity team where he established a successful track record across a range of deals. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Ming spent four years at Amaranth Group, where he was a Portfolio Strategist, and previous to this he was a Senior Associate at Boston Consulting Group. Ming has a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics, a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and an MBA in Finance and International Business from Harvard Business School. He is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese and is also a CFA charter holder.
