Andrew Formica, Managing Director

Andrew Formica has been in the fund management industry since 1993.

Biography

He has held various senior roles at Henderson Global Investors in the past 10 years. Just prior to being appointed Chief Executive of Henderson Group in November 2008, he was joint Managing Director of Henderson Global Investor's Listed Assets business (since September 2006) and Head of Equities (since September 2004). He was a member of the Senior Management Team since 2004, and previously co-head of Equities since 2002 and Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Insurance and Unitised Funds since 2000. Mr Formica was director of core funds and derivatives when Henderson merged with AMP Asset Management in October 1999.

James Darkins, Managing Director, Global Property

James Darkins is responsible for Henderson Global Investors' property business in the United Kingdom, Europe, North America and Asia.

Biography

He was appointed to his current position in 2001 and his primary focus has been directing the significant growth of the Henderson property business in Europe, which now operates from 8 European offices providing property investment funds to over 200 institutional clients.

James joined AMP in 1998, prior to the acquisition of Henderson, as Head of Property in New Zealand; he was subsequently appointed Head of Property for Asia based in Sydney before taking up his current role in London. Over the course of his 30 year career he has worked for a number of property and buildings related companies in the UK and New Zealand, including over 14 years in the property investment and development industry.

Roger Greville, Managing Director, Henderson Equity Partners

Roger is Global Head of Henderson Equity Partners, the private equity operation of Henderson Global Investors, which specialises in Asian private equity, infrastructure and private equity fund of funds.

Biography

Roger has over 20 years of investment and management experience covering unlisted and listed assets.

Prior to his current role, Roger was the Managing Director of AMP Henderson Global Investors (NZ) Limited, a multi-sector asset management company managing listed and unlisted investments. Roger has also held positions with the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, the New Zealand Treasury and Hendery Hay McIntosh (a sharebroking and investment banking firm) as an economist.

David J Jacob, Managing Director, Listed Assets and CIO

David joined Henderson in January 2005 as Head of Fixed Income, responsible for overseeing the management of all of Henderson's fixed income and structured products.

Biography

In 2006, David was appointed joint Managing Director of the then newly formed Listed Assets business. David is also the CIO of Listed Assets and remains Head of Fixed Income.

In addition to overseeing the fixed income business, David also has responsibility for all the distribution activities of Henderson's fixed income and equity assets, including product development, sales, marketing and client service.

David joined from UBS Global Asset Management where he was Head of Fixed Income for Europe and the UK.

Alan Hardgrave, Chief Operating Officer

Alan joined Henderson Global Investors in 2006 as Head of IT to oversee the development of Henderson's IT infrastructure and the delivery of a number of large business-focussed projects.

Biography

In July 2009 he was appointed Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for third party administration relationships and Henderson Operations in addition to IT.

Alan has more than 20 years' experience of IT and Operations within the asset management industry. He worked at UBS Global Asset Management for 13 years, becoming Global Head of IT, before joining Henderson.

Alan has a BA in Mathematics from Oxford University.

Adam Eades, General Counsel

Adam joined Henderson in 2010 as General Counsel, with responsibility for the Legal, Compliance and Company Secretariat teams.

Biography

He has over 20 years experience in financial services and the law having worked in banking, private practice and the exchange sector. In addition, Adam gained experience in the investment management sector whilst working at the Investment Management Regulatory Organisation (IMRO). Prior to joining Henderson, Adam was European Head of Legal at NYSE Euronext and General Counsel and Company Secretary at London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE).

Shirley Garrood, Chief Financial Officer

Shirley has been Chief Financial Officer since September 2009.

Biography

She joined Henderson Global Investors in April 2001 as Director of Investment Operations to focus on processes and procedures within asset management. Shirley is a chartered accountant and corporate treasurer and has worked in the City for 30 years.

Prior to Henderson Global Investors, she was Chief Operating Officer at Morley Fund Management (Aviva).

Andy Boorman, Managing Director, Human Resources

Andy is responsible for Human Resources across the Group including training, pensions and our shareplans.

Biography

Before joining the Group in 1998, Andy held several senior positions in Sainsburys Group Plc both in HR and as a store manager. Since 1998, Andy has held a number of key positions in HR, principally working with our previous parent company AMP, on a number of mergers, acquisitions and divestments and from 2001 as HR Director for Henderson's operations outside the UK. On demerger from AMP in 2004, Andy was appointed as Director, Human Resources for the new group where he was actively involved in the sale of the life services and Towry law businesses and the development of Henderson as a leading independent fund manager.

Arno Kitts, Director, Global Distribution

Arno Kitts is responsible for distribution and institutional business with clients worldwide, encompassing sales and marketing, product development, and client and consultant relationship management and service.

Biography

Arno has been involved in investment management since 1989, including seven years as Head of Investments of an insurance company. Arno joined Henderson Global Investors in 2003 as Head of UK Institutional Business. Prior to this, Arno was a JPMorgan Managing Director, responsible for institutional and defined contribution business, and he was CEO of the JPMorgan Life business. Arno is actively involved in industry matters, through being a UK National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) Board member and Investment Council Immediate-Past-Chairman, and an Investment Management Association (IMA) Institutional Business Committee member; and, he was formerly a member of the Council and Finance & Investment Board of the Actuarial Profession.
